You have to come with the right expectations though, it is not a large hotel with many facilities but a traditional guesthouse and for that it has everything and more than what you expect. We absolutely loved the hot tub on the rooftop with the view over the ski slopes, breakfast was superb and the location was extremely convenient as it is about 3 mins walk to Happo Bus terminal which we used almost every day to take shuttles to and from Tokyo and between different resorts. A short distance walk to Echoland (10-15 mins) A few great cafes and restaurants nearby! The hotel is a traditional Japanese, however with private ensuites which is an added bonus! Awesome outdoor onsen on the rooftop. Wifi works well and lodge host was extremely helpful! The price in comparison to similar lodges is excellent! Only negative, we had to put the futon together ourselves. We arrived around 2.30am in the morning, so making up the bed was a bit of a pain.
