Hazu and his wife, Hitomi, are friendly and go way beyond the call of duty. They are a charming couple anxious to help. We arrived in April, after the ski shuttle bus was finished for the season. Hazu picked us up at the JR railstation, and took us to Happo One Ski Resort each morning and picked us up each afternoon. He helped us make arrangements for our following destination. Our accommodations were cleaned daily. Staying in a smaller inn gave us the opportunity to interact with a Japanese family.
