Mumbles
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (1 review)
"It was a lovely modern property with nice beds and great kitchen. The seating area outside was great. Very central location. Parking is a bit of a pain as the nearby car parks are very expensive (£17/24hr v Swansea which are £5/24hr). No nearby free street parking. Mumbles is a very busy place. If you’re a light sleeper I’d advise earplugs as we found it quite noisy. Excellent communication from host and all in all a great place to stay whilst visiting the area "

Which area of Mumbles is best to stay in for beaches?

The Mumbles Coastal Path runs alongside, superb for gentle walks with sea views, and you're close to the iconic Mumbles Lighthouse. While a little further from the main village centre, it's very peaceful and provides uninterrupted sea air.

Families often find this area ideal due to the proximity to the beaches. Bracelet Bay and Limeslade Bay are smaller, more sheltered coves, great for children to explore rock pools or enjoy a paddle. There are also cafes nearby for refreshments, making a day at the beach very convenient.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will also appreciate this location. The stunning coastal scenery, the sound of the waves, and the opportunity for romantic strolls along the path create a relaxing setting.

The pier itself offers arcades and ice cream, and at its end, you'll find the Mumbles Lighthouse, a local landmark. This walk is great for couples looking for a relaxed afternoon by the sea.

Families will find Bracelet Bay and Limeslade Bay excellent choices for spending time on the sand. For those interested in water sports, the calmer waters around Swansea Bay, particularly near the Civic Centre end, are suitable for paddleboarding or kayaking, especially on a calm day. Several local operators offer equipment hire and lessons if you're new to these activities.
