Driving to Mumbles
The route from the airport to Mumbles is fairly straightforward: take the M4 away from the airport and across the River Neath before switching to the A483 towards Swansea before reaching the A4067, also known as Oystermouth Road; this last stage is the thrilling part of the journey. The road takes your rental car in an arc right along the coast of Swansea Bay itself, offering stunning views and a wonderful driving experience all the way to Mumbles.

Driving along Mumbles Road, the coastal road in Mumbles, will bring you activity and adventure in both directions. Heading to the north you’ll find Promenade Terrace complete with traditional seaside amusement arcades and ice cream parlours. Taking the road around the headland, away from central Mumbles, and you’ll find the wilder expanses of Langland and Caswell Bay, where surfing, fishing, boating and water sports guarantee a great time for visitors of all ages.
