A very friendly and welcoming pub.We had a comfortable en suite room and enjoyed an excellent evening meal and a traditional full English breakfast. The staff were very friendly and professional ensuring that our brief stay was a pleasant one.The hotel was located on a quaint cobbled street leading down to the harbour.Highly recommended.

We stayed here to watch the Tour de Yorkshire the hotel staff were lovely, breakfast cooked to order alongside the buffet. The only downside was the bed was smaller than we are used to so sleep was difficult. (Room19) maybe ask for a larger bed if you are a couple! However we had a fabulous break.

Short stay for family visit so didn't try the restaurant. Bed room excellent, Hypnos mattress very comfortable. Bath room was a little "tired" and could do with a bit of a re-vamp but that's all. Very clean, will definitely stay again.

We were warmly welcomed like old friends by the wonderful owners, Jackie & John. We had high expectations given the positive reviews, & we were not disappointed. John gave us an overview of the history of the house which was a lovely touch. They are rightly proud of their beautiful property, which exudes class, quality & great attention to detail. The room was spacious with clean lines & classic decor, the most comfortable bed with sumptuous linens & a spacious en suite, again with quality...

The best area to stay in Moorsholm is within the village centre itself, particularly around the High Street.
This core area of Moorsholm offers a traditional village experience. The High Street is where you'll find the local shop, the village pub, and the church, forming a convenient and pleasant hub. It's a small, quiet village, so everything is easily accessible on foot.
Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find the village centre ideal. It provides a relaxed setting for strolls, enjoying a meal at the local pub, and experiencing a slice of rural English life away from the hustle and bustle. The surrounding countryside is easily reached for walks.
For those seeking a base for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, staying in the village centre offers practical advantages.
When is the best time to go to Moorsholm?
The best time to visit Moorsholm is typically during the late spring, summer, and early autumn months, from May through to September.
During these months, you'll generally find the most pleasant weather for exploring the North York Moors National Park and the nearby coastline. The days are longer, and the temperatures are milder, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, or visiting the local villages and attractions. You're more likely to experience sunshine and less rain, which enhances the beauty of the landscape.
For couples looking for a romantic getaway with scenic walks and dining, late spring and early autumn offer a good balance of agreeable weather and fewer crowds than the peak summer months. You can enjoy the blooming heather in late summer or the changing colours of the leaves in autumn.
Families travelling with children will find the summer holidays (July and August) great for enjoying the local beaches and attractions, as the weather is usually at its warmest. There are often more activities and events geared towards families during this period.
