"This hotel is absolutely superb. Room enormous, bed comfortable, well appointed, beautiful decking area and view out of the patio doors across the lake. Staff all very professional and friendly, breakfast pretty good, afternoon tea pretty good. I'd have liked a bit more choice at breakfast as a vegetarian: boiled eggs and marmite, some more vegetables? All a bit greasy. Also more cereal options? Afternoon tea would be better with home made scones! Spa excellent, pool area wonderful, treatments amazing. Gym facilities very good, and really helpful opening at 5am! Thanks, super all round."

"We had an amazing stay at Hotel 131 The Promenade, recommended by a friend who also had a great experience. We opted for one of the high-end rooms, which was huge with an amazing and extremely spacious bathroom. The hotel staff were very attentive and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was very buzzy, with bars and even a DJ outside, making us feel like we were at a beach club. As a couple, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. The hotel is very fun and beautifully decorated. The only minor drawback was that the room was quite dark, even with all the lights on, and the corridors had some marks on the walls from suitcases, which affected the presentation slightly. However, apart from that, we will definitely be rebooking. Highly recommended for a vibrant and luxurious stay!"

" A 2 day stay with friends, lovely hotel,...First night was fine at dinner, 2nd night clashed with a "murder mystery night" and dining room staff were under pressure to provide a prompt service. (2 hours for 2 courses) Menu needs to change more frequently, perhaps providing a changeable "specials" board?"
