Cromwell's Tap House
10/10 Excellent
"Our 3rd stay at Cromwells and had the same rooms. Overall very clean and tidy however quite a lot of cobwebs around the beams and top of curtain rails in room 4. The 10% discount in the bar was still a good addition to the stay. We love the location to all amenities as very easy to walk everywhere. The staff were very helpful & friendly throughout our stay. We will definitely return again,"

"Hotel was conveniently located for a work trip, good parking facilities, basic but ample breakfast. Didn’t stop for evening meal, room was a good size, good air conditioning and clean."

"Great value for money. Stayed for 2 nights passing through from Scotland to Cardiff. Only a few minutes walk to the town centre. Has free parking although this is limited to 7 spaces. We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be really tasty. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Great shower pressure. Sun deck and beer garden was great as we had good weather to enjoy them. Took our drinks out there in the evenings. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again if in the area."

"When we arrived at the hotel the reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The service from the staff in the dining room was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for us and food was amazing. At breakfast there was multiple choices from both continental and traditional cooked English breakfast dishes. We will certainly return here for a longer stay."

"Lovely surroundings which made the stay Room was small and bin had not been emptied also shower was too hot and was hard to regulate temperature. Staff helpful and pleasant especially bar staff"
The Dragon Hotel

"When arriving at the hotel you access the car park from the road at the side of the hotel, no signs show this as the car park entrance just 2 very small hotel name signs so easy to miss, you can park at the front of the hotel but this area is sloping so might cause a problem for the less able. The staff on reception are very friendly giving a lovely warm welcome like they are fiends. Some rooms are small but more than adequate, bathroom is more than adequate, bottled water still and sparkling as well as the usual coffee and tea. Bar sells a great selection of beers and spirits…and happy hour is 20% off all drinks!!"

"Great location within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and sights of the town with paid parking available just around the corner. Fabulous room and a lovely garden to sit out in of an evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious."
