The property was beautiful and very maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Air conditioning was great. The heated plunge pool was amazing. The staff are all helpful and polite. The food and drinks were all delicious and big portions. My favourite part was being in the middle of nature and being able to see some of the incredible wildlife that Costa Rica has. This place is a wonderful place to relax. We definitely didn't want to leave because we loved it so much.

Hotel Belmar is a food and drink destination as well as being well located for enjoying all Monteverde has to offer. The staff present honest enthusiasm for all the hotel has to offer, and are welcoming and helpful. They can easily arrange taxis for you to any of the local sights (as uber doesn’t operate here). The restaurant is fantastic as well as the craft brewery and their fermented fruit wines. This was one of my favourite experiences ever.

Wow. Where to even begin? This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Everyone here clearly works hard to make their guests feel welcome. We were greeted on arrival with a complementary welcome drink and a friendly chat about where everything was and we were entitled to. I had no issues during my stay. Check-in was simple, and I was provided with a map and lots of helpful tips. The room was pleasant, with a fantastic view through the expansive windows. There was no aircon in my room, which I feared would be a problem, but I didn’t get hot at all. A ceiling fan would still be a useful addition though.
