We enjoyed the reception staff who were very very helpful. Always there when we needed something. Gave us good recommendations for restaurants in the area. In particular we’d like to mention Marlon Aylin and Manford. Dining room staff were very nice, breakfast was good, and we enjoyed our lattes. Good location, easy walk down to town, little challenge, coming up from town! Slow and easy does the trick! Would recommend this hotel, not for dining, but for hospitality and management.h

The check in was special. After a long and bumpy road up to the area from San Jose, we were met with a welcoming face towel and then a welcome drink. The check in staff took us up to our room and talked about the plants and birds in the hotel’s lovely gardens and seemed both knowledgeable and sincere in talking to us. A very pleasant initial impression of the hotel. One negative was that the food in the restaurant was standard….not bad, but also not so good.

Manfred at the front desk was so kind and helpful. The hotel nice nice and quiet. A little out of the loop but still walkable. If you have mobility issues I do not recommend this location as it is uphill and there are many stairs on the property. Clean rooms, good service, fair price. Not fancy but well above average. The restaurant down the hill, Chico Cafe, was super yummy!
