All areas were spotlessly clean. This YHA is the best, in my humble opinion, and the ambiance is surreal. A credit to Cumbria, exemplifies the fact that Cumbria is putting the Great back into Britain ✌️☮️🐇💋🌈"

"First time visiting the lake district and it didnt disappoint. The area of the lodge was perfect to explore and visit different places nearby. The lodge itself was perfect , and had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Will definitely like to stay again and will recommend to all friends and family this lodge."

"Fantastic location & views. Very basic which let it down. Not great when you travelled 4hrs on the road & not find any milk in fridge for a cup of tea. Lovely shower but all the mould let it down (even the fake plant was covered in mould). Tiny bath towels and no blind on window,Hole in fence has not been fixed but some broken chairs put in front which didn't take my dogs long to figure out & no outside light in garden so i had to use my phone torch to make sure they did not escape at night....
