"I booked this place knowing little other than it was close enough to Cardiff for us to stay after the Bruce Springsteen concert. It was very well appointed, with a well equipped kitchen / dining room, spacious wet room, large bedroom and lounge with a sofa bed. And a hot tub in the communal garden area! One point that is not related to the accommodation that I wish I’d known - some of the roads are very narrow and as it’s a very hilly area there are a few hairpin bends which I found difficult...

"There's no doubt that The Boat Inn is a lovely, traditional pub in a super location, right on the banks of the Wye with good views of the river from the bedrooms above the pub. The surroundings are wooded and distinctly bosky, which is nice. There is a small village (Redbrook) with a village shop a few hundred metres away across an old railway bridge. "This is a great little apartment and had everything we needed. More attention to detail is needed on a few points like a simple descale of en-suite shower head and parts of the door seal, there was no blind in the second bedroom or toilet roll holder in one bathroom. Also there were two single beds instead of a double bed as in the photos. But for us it didn’t matter too much as everything else meant we enjoyed our stay."
