"We had a lovely time staying in Bankside cottage. Well appointed cottage with all you need for a stay in the Peak District. Perfectly situated for walks along the river and cycling on the Tissington Trail."

"We loved our stay in Wirksworth. Such a lovely area for walking and cycling which we were after. The cottage was lovely. Very comfy beds, great sofa and fab log burner. Kitchen has everything you need. The shower is definitely small as the listing says. However i dont thjnk i realised how small - we managed (just) but this is the only negative in an other wise lovely stay. The village is also great, again with everything you need in terms of variety of places to eat and drink."

"There was many things that were incredibly disappointing about this property. An hour before arriving we received a message to say the main bathroom toilet was blocked and they weren’t going to fix it before our stay, meaning the only toilets available were inside the 2 en-suite bathrooms. After arriving we found the house in what seemed to be mid construction. The kitchen was still covered in protective plastic, with cupboards without handles and a complete lack of cutlery, glasses and plates....

"Friendly host. Mince pies and milk left for us on arrival. Some lovely walks close by. Good place for large group.Huge dining table."

"Great location 20 mins from Sheffield and the reservoirs. Ye olde mustard pot pub 2 mins away served amazing food. We had a few power cuts early on in the week. The hot tub was excellent. Really clean with a cozy front room."

"Very helpful owner who brought us cake! The property has everything you need for a group of friends, with 9-10 separate beds. Downside is it is bit cramped - particularly the kitchen and the narrow spiral staircase. But for the price it's great and we'll probably go again."
