The bar area is well laid out. We didn’t eat, but due to its location if you need a meal you will likely end up eating there. Only one bad point is that the pillows were feather and soon went flat, I do wish hotels would have a synthetic standby pillow that does not go flat. Our room had been upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. We ate in the bar, as we weren’t particularly hungry, again good, attentive service, and the bar snacks ordered were very enjoyable. Staff are well trained and attentive. Stunning decor, beautiful comfortable rooms and stunning views of the lush countryside. The fact there is a equally fantastic eatry in The Red Lion joined to the hotel is convienent and superb quality.
