"The hotel is a very old building and therefore no lift and for us in a top floor room quite a lot of stairs. Room was a good size with double bed, desk, small table and two chairs, wardrobe with iron and ironing board. Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdrier and fridge. Free wi-fi good TV. Reasonable sized en-suite with over-bath shower. Mismatched bedside lights; not important but could improve the image. There is airccon but we didnt need it. Good choice of breakfast; continental or cooked...

"My Husband and I staged here this weekend. David was a fantastic host. The food was plentiful, amazing and a very good price. Breakfast was also amazing. For me a found the pillows great for watching TV for the support, but a bit too hard for sleeping, but the bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. "Nice hotel, room well equipped, breakfast service was slow and only one cereal available, if you love spiders theres a big one in its web in the velxlux window above the stairs that lead up to the rooms. Other than that good value for £70 a night bnb but not great when saturday prices are £167 bnb on a Saturday night. Down side to was reception didnt open until 10 am on a Saturday even though sign said 9am. Would feel better if receotion was maned 24/7"

"Fantastic stay and facilities, we thoroughly enjoyed out little hideaway. This place is a hidden gem and we definitely will be back. Only downfalls are the fact that it isn't advertised so well as this property has huge potential, gym is a little on the small side and it most definitely could do with a onsite restaurant for gain revenue for the place to maximise the income but it didnt effect our stay as we had all the facilities we needed in our lodge and planned on going out anyhow. "
