"Room was very clean. Staff were ok, had little to do with them, Breakfast was good, although the carpet in the breakfast bar was in need of a steam clean. Bar, didnt make much use of. Not my sort of place"

"Wonderful stay. Easy check in. Large room and bathroom with a pleasant view out over the courtyard. Excellent breakfast with a continental and a hot buffet, including black pudding (!). Only minor improvement would be a wider selection of glfresh breads Set in nice grounds with a pleasant walk into Headingley, though buses stop right outside too."

"Surprisingly quiet for a motorway stop-off. Bed was reasonably comfortable and the front staff were nice. Shame that the parking was extra, can’t imagine who doesn’t drive there. We had a drink in the bar and the white wine was a little ropey but overall a good place to break up a long journey."

"It's true it is a bit dated if that worries you, certainly didn't worry me, perfectly functional very clean, the only thing that bugged me was the Ruddy lift, second floor going down aagh first floor going up that voice done my head in I'm joking of course great location loads of parking, great staff, I'd stay here again."

"The hotel is in the centre of Boroughbridge. We found the stag so helpful and friendly. Really lovely and welcoming. The rooms are nice however the bathroom needs a full refurb. Breakfast was good."
