Location: Website indicates this hotel is at the airport when in fact it is a 15-20 minute drive away.
Uninteresting basic hotel in an uninteresting location 20 minutes away from the airport. The hotel is very "tierd". Room was basic but for £57 for the nigh it was bearable.

Cheap budget hotel

Posted 21-Aug-2017
This hotel has very uncomfortable beds. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and some of the facilities are broken and they say maintenance will fix them but they never do

I had a great stay. Will definitely go back.

Pros: Cheap, clean, & nice people
For a cheap hotel, it's great! I read the bad reviews, but my stay was great. The people at the front desk were helpful. Internet in the lobby was fine. The carpet in the public areas is a bit shabby, but I'm not sleeping on it. The room for a single is small by American standards, but I've had much smaller. The bathroom seemed completely brand new--immaculate. The bed was firm (not a pillowtop) which is good for my back. There was boiler with tea/cream/etc. Internet in the room worked, but as advertised, they only give you 20 minutes free. I never heard any neighbors. No complaints at all. Also the airport shuttle is very good and half the price of a taxi. I wished that I had called the hotel to arrange pickup from the airport. A few blocks walk gets you to a wide range of shops and restaurants.

Horrible experience as the hotel was overbooked.

Posted 12-Jul-2017
Pros: nothing.
Cons: everything. The sheets, pillows, bathrooms. the general state of the hotel !
Location: Didn't venture out - went back to the airport early in the morning.
Was sent to a different hotel after having travelled for 24 hrs already, arrived past midnight - my booking clearly stated that I would arrive at the time I did. The hotel that I was transferred to was dirty, didn't even feel like taking a shower or sitting on the bed. The only reason I stayed at the hotel was the time - too late to go anywhere else or to the airport. left very early in the morning. Would NOT recommend anyone staying at these facilities at all!

Love this retro hotel, would choose it over a soulless travel Inn anyway. Very clean, everything I needed.

Please upgrade your mattresses!

Posted 25-Jun-2017
Pros: Proximity to airport.
Cons: Replace the carpets. Make it 100% non-smoking. Replace the mattresses. Install air conditioning.
The mattresses were just awful: lumpy, and we could very clearly feel the springs. Since there is no air conditioning we had to keep the windows open and were kept awake by the heavy traffic. Hallway smelled of cigarette smoke.

Dirty all around

Posted 24-Jun-2017
Pros: The hotel offered shuttles to and from the airport for a reasonable fee.
Cons: They seriously need to work on cleaning/washing. The restaurant needs to get inspected by the health department if there are live worms in their food.
The hotel looked promising at first, but that quickly changed. The heater didn't really work and the room was freezing. I found an extra blanket, but it smelled like it had never been washed and was covered in hair. It was disgusting. I went to the front desk to ask for another blanket (that was clean) and found what looked like the manager flirting with the receptionist. They ignored me at first and continued their conversation as if I wasn't standing there in front of them. After seeing that I wasn't leaving until I was helped, the man (manager?) asked if I needed something. I asked for an extra blanket. He told me there was one in my room. I asked for another. He seemed reluctant to get me one, but eventually did. It was slightly better than the one in my room, but still didn't smell clean. I ended up using all of the towels in the room as blankets because I was so cold.I tried eating at the restaurant downstairs, but immediately regretted it. I ordered some simple chicken strips. They brought it out with a little salad on the same plate that had a live worm in it. Seriously. It was moving around the lettuce. I felt nauseous and instantly lost my appetite. I showed it to the girl at the cash register who looked horrified and took it back to the kitchen. She offered me something else, but I obviously wasn't going to eat anything there ever again. She said I didn't have to pay for my meal, not that I was planning to anyways. She looked genuinely sorry. I left disgusted.
