Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa

"We stayed here for 3 nights while my husband was recuperating from being in hospital. The staff could not have been more helpful (especially as we had to make an amendment to our booking for medical reasons). The hotel was spotlessly clean as was our room. The bed was big and extremely comfortable, as were the pillows (quite rare in hotels from our experience). We ate in the restaurant on one evening and in the bar area on another and both times were very happy with the quality of food and service. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of food and drink options. Use of the spa facilities were an added bonus."

"The hotel is ideally located and was a great base for my stay. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with an excellent shower and a very comfortable bed. The scent the hotel uses in the lobby is amazing. Parking was straightforward and conveniently located underneath the hotel. The only downside was the breakfast, which felt expensive for a fairly basic buffet, especially when there are better-value options available locally. Overall, a comfortable and convenient hotel, but I would recommend eating breakfast elsewhere."

"Incredible place to stay as a wedding guest. The hotel kindly accommodated us to a bigger room due to my pregnancy. Staff were friendly, food at the atrium was amazing (a little bit steep on the price but really good quality). Thank you!"

"Great location, easy to get around from and very clean! Staff were excellent, especially Abi, Ri (young lady with bright red hair - who was so sweet and helpful!), and Matteo too! This was my second time staying at this hotel, a year later, and would definitely choose this hotel again should I visit Bath again."

"We booked 2 'classic double view' rooms and 1 dog friendly room for a family weekend in September. We had a lovely time overall but got off to a rocky start when we discovered that the 'view' is not what you expect from the app images in that these rooms are situated around an inlet from the lake meaning that your primary view is of the rooms opposite and then there is the water mostly full of rushes below. I do love a view which is why I wanted to come here in the first place. The kids weren't so bothered. Anyway, my husband and I asked to change rooms and, after initially being mistakenly sent to a room with a tiny window, finally were given a room with a balcony so at least we had a view of the lake to the right from the balcony. The staff were lovely and accommodating and it's lucky we arrived early so we could change rooms as they were fully booked. It's the marketing I blame. It is not made clear from the photos what the view actually is so be warned if you are like me and the view is important to you. Once settled, our room was clean and the bed very comfy. Sadly, there was no handheld shower only a drench which is not ideal if you want to wash your whole body! We didn't try the breakfast as we didn't all want the full works so £19.95 seemed very expensive."
