Contstand building work..

This hotel seemed like it would be amazing had it not been under serious refurbishments. The rooms were nice and comfortable however the pool and bar area are undergoing major refurbishments. This meant any time by the pool would be impossible unless you were willing to put up with the constant drilling and banging of the work men. It is a shame as we booked this trip hoping to relax by the pool and were unable to do so. The hotel should warn guests before coming that this would be the case as we would never have booked this hotel.

Pleasant stay at a very comfortable hotel. Extensive refurbishment works going on .Although this didn't spoil our stay at the hotel.

Good location

Pros: Location, staff friendly
Cons: If any amenities not available - consider using different hotels in the chain
Location: Only there short time - sightseeing tour worthwhile, good shops and bars in the locality
Was looking forward to using the swimming pool on the roof - weather would have allowed it. It was closed for refurbishment but at no time were we told of this fact. There are many Melia hotels in Palma and I think we should have had access to other facilities. A lot of improvement works going on generally - early in the season so when up and running should be very pleasant. I would suggest getting up to date information on the refurb before finalising any booking

Hotel was being renovated unknown to us

Arrived for our luxury spa/wellness 4 day break at the Meiia hotel. We arrived at 8 o'clock in the evening, the hotel looked inviting and the staff welcoming. We proceeded to our room and as we departed from the lift the overpowering smell of paint met us. We entered our room, all very nice until the next morning when awoken by noises of workmen drilling and hammering outside. We looked out over the balcony and realised at least half the block of rooms were under going modernisation. We went for breakfast then walked outside to look at the pool. This was extremely full of scum on the water and as we looked up u could see why! The dust from one of the rooms above where the men were working was just cascading ever so lightly down onto everything including sun beds and chairs, also when we went back t our rooms you could see dust footsteps all over the carpets where guests had been walking in and out of there rooms the taste of plaster was unbelievable. We returned to the desk not to complain of the smell of paint and the fact that the pool was not open, but to book our treatment and use the indoor pool!!!! Only to be told the spa is not open it also is being altered. Well that that that no spa break. No one when booking this break told us of any restorations being done and that the spa and pool would be closed

Location: Great location: short walk the castle; not far from the old town; some decent local bars and restaurants; lovely outlook over the marina.
Nice, modern, clean hotel with nice outlook over the marina even from rooms on the side of the hotel. All the staff were really pleasant and the desk staff people very efficient and helpful too (booking restaurants, providing advice etc). Just about every room has a balcony. It's a pleasant 20 minute walk to the old town or a short, cheap taxi ride; and there is always a taxi or two waiting at the door. We really wanted a double bed but got two singles pushed together; which is fairly normal in continental Europe but a bit disappointing especially as it was requested on the booking. We were also a little disappointed to have to pay €15 to use the spa. Add the breakfast buffet to your package; it's certainly worth it and includes help yourself Cava!

Pros: Location
Cons: Booked a premium double room with one double bed and was allocated a small twin room with single beds
Booked a premium double room with one double bed and paid £170. On arrival I was allocated a small twin room with single beds. Very disappointing as this used to be one of my preferred hotels in Palma for business trips.

Pros: The hotels location is great.
Cons: Too much like a business hotel
Location: The hotel is set back from the main road directly opposite the marina
Very nice hotel although it felt like we were in a business hotel rather than a holiday destination. We had a beautiful room but you were expected to pay extra for everything which when I pay £100 per night I do expect some extras like complementary bottled water use of the facilities etc .

Pros: Location and the lounge services were well selected.
Cons: Staff need 2 learn they r offering a service ultimately 4 tourists. Language, attitude & facilities r top priority. Small roof pool/Spa
