great location

Excellent hotel, close to the city and shopping. The rooms are very comfortable and staff friendly. I wish the roadside restaurant was what it used to be years gone by with a full menu not just a fish/tapas bar.

Lovely Hotel, great location.

Posted 01-Oct-2015
Pros: All of it, except the view at the back, but I wouldn't pay 40 Euros a night just to sit on a balcony looking at the harbour for a couple of hours.
Cons: Not a lot really, I had no complaints
Location: The Harbour is only 25 mins walk away, as it the town and cathedral. Some lovely little restaurants just outside if you don't want to walk far.
Lovely hotel and very clean, nice room but unless you pay for a sea view, the rooms at the back, where we were have a grotty view. Only problem we had was night clubs turning out at 4am, and lots of noise at the back. Breakfast was fantastic, so much choice, pool area was lovely and clean, although I imagine could get very cramped when really busy. Staff were very helpful and friendly, except for one old boy on reception, who was quite arrogant and not very helpful. We had a four night break, and had a lovely time, the room was spacious and cleaned very well every day. If we go back to Palma we would definitely stay at the Melia Palas again.

Pros: Everything is very good in this hotel.
Cons: Do not have a negative comment!
Location: Great location with lots of restaurant and shops within 5-10 mins
A great hotel in a very good location. A lovely walk into the old town, fabulous view across the port and very good facilities in the hotel. The rooms are lovely, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is one of the best I have had and excellent value.

Great Hotel

Posted 24-Sep-2015
Pros: Nice room, staff was great and friendly
Location: Great location. Many things to do there.
Hotel is great as it is right near the harbor. Many Restaurants which are close to the hotel and very good. We found a great bar that serves great mixed drinks, cheap and a very good European breakfast. The name of the bar is called Cosmopolitan. Walking distance to center of city is about 20 minutes or so. You can also take the bus to the center of the city for 1.50 euros.

Sehr gutes Hotel direkt am Yachthafen in Palma

Posted 22-Sep-2015

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Posted 17-Sep-2015
Pros: The hotel is fairly modern - good size swimming pool and good sized gym. Staff were polite, although not over friendly.
Cons: Better description of rooms. Lighting in rooms and tea and coffee facilities + more sun beds.
Location: Palma is a busy town, with lots of attractions to visit. Food and wine is expensive in restaurants. Shopping is good if you have lots of money.
While the hotel overall was of a reasonable quality we had booked a family room, which was of course more expensive (for 2 people) on the basis there would be more room - and it was described as 2 double beds. In the event there were 2 single beds and a sofa-bed for the 2nd "double bed. That however wasn't the main problem - it was that despite the room being more expensive we were stuck on the corner and had a very minimal view of the marina with high buildings at the one side, and a view of a very busy road on the other - making the family room very dark. While there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, they did supply us with a kettle - and we bought our own tea and milk. There is of course a mini-bar filled with things most people don't want - but no fridge.

Excellent for Palma

Posted 16-Sep-2015
Superb hotel, this was our 5th visit and still excellent. We use this hotel because it's so chilled and within easy walking distance from the city centre 1.5miles. buffet breakfast is the best every, don't book this hotel without it, pool area has a fantastic view over the harbour. If you book a classic room the ask for floor 4 or above. Floors 3 and below could mean you have not so good view. Premium rooms have a sea view regardless of floor. Enjoy

Nice hotel close to the Marina

Posted 14-Sep-2015
Pros: The staff, the dining area, breakfast buffet and the foyer itself which was very attractive
Cons: As regards room facilities, having a balcony was a plus, but the room/furniture itself average and the bathroom very much on small side.
Location: Reasonably close to Marina, Cathedral and the old town. A distance from the station, so taxi/bus needed to travel around otherwise.
Nice hotel for a few days break, staff very helpful, foyer and dining areas well appointed and they obviously had very good conference/business facilities available. We did not utilise the Spa facilities so cannot comment regarding these. Breakfast buffet was very good, both continental and hot food.
