Pool was not cleaned and was a health hazard. The cabins needed a facelift in line with the cost of 95$ a night. Convenient to the bowls green where we were competing.

Our stay was ok. Didn't like that the pool was very dirty. Unusable really. The toilet block facilities were very old and some were broken. The communal rubbish bins were overflowing. The cabins were very expensive considering how old they were. Booking for an extra cabin wasn't put in the books because it was booked online. The concrete pads where our van was parked was in very poor repair. The things we likes were the convenience to our bowls venue. The lovely staff members (one in particular). We were not hasseled when we were there. Felt safe. Midges were pretty bad at night, but that is no fault of the park.

We checked in and headed straight out to visit family. After returning late, we discovered blood stains on the sheets and urine stains in the shower. We didnt stay that night, and raised these issues when we checked out the next morning. The staff member was unable to help. We contacted Expedia to see if we could arrange a refund. The Expedia agent called the property and whoever they spoke to had the audacity to say all their sheets were brand new, when we had photos clearly showing the stains. The property refused a refund for the night.

Grounds need a good tidy up, cabins need to be cleaned properly as we found the kitchen cupboards / drawers to be dirty inside along with the utensils that needed to be washed before using. Pool was dirty. Gardens need tlc especially weeding. Cabin was dark and dingy.

I booked my stay and no one turned up at reception to let me in which left me with trying to find accommodation late afternoon/ evening. I made several calls and no answer very disappointing and stressful when all I wanted was a bed and shower

Staff very friendly and price was good. Stuck in mackay due to weather and booking at short notice. Unsure of the cooker/ stove, but ate take away. Would use again for short stays.

We could not stay as they closed at 6.30 pm and we booked with you at 7.09 no one answered phones contacted wotif.com with questions about time of booking not happy that wotif.com took booking and they had already closed for the day

Booked two rooms and as I read it stated they were available and late check in is available. I booked made the reservation and proceeded to receive confirmation emails and even the emails no need to call if you received this confirmation email. As you do you go ahead gps the accommodation and proceed to the destination for check in. So that’s what we did, upon arrival I called 4x to check in as it late check in was an option and my booking was confirmed after numerous attempts and no answer at the door we soon realised we were not sleeping here!! & no one was there. So thanks to this great tourist park we were left hunting down the last rooms in Mackay at midnight with a sick old lady who has many health issues stuck in a car for hours while we tried to find a place.

The room was still available on Expedia. At 7pm. So we booked it. We took a taxi to the property in North Mackay. But the property was closed. We phoned over and over and over… But received nothing back. We ended up taking a taxi back to the airport. Slept at the airport. The rest of mackay was booked out. Not blaming anyone but it was a bit of a frustrating and difficult position to be in.

I recommend everyone not to book this property as we book them and they didnot respond us to let us to check in .it was very cold evening night .we waited for 30 min.keep ringing but nobody responded. Thanks.

Regular stay when in Mackay
Has everything you need and plenty of space. High ceiling in cabins, fan, screens on windows means lots of fresh air. Thoughtfully planned out for privacy, I have stayed before and will stay again.
