I recently completed my third stay at Sandy Haven, and while I’ve had great experiences in the past, this visit was unfortunately disappointing. Previously, beach security—especially Sinclair—helped ensure a peaceful environment by minimizing harassment from vendors. This time, we were repeatedly approached while relaxing on the beach, and a simple “no thank you” was often not enough. It disrupted what should have been a relaxing experience. Additionally, the included continental breakfast with mimosas was only fully available on three of my six days. No champagne was available on the other days, and no alternatives were offered. While most staff were friendly, a few seemed disinterested or unhelpful when responding to basic questions. I understand it’s off-season, but the overall service felt below the usual standard I’ve come to expect. I appreciate the experiences I’ve had at Sandy Haven and hope this feedback helps improve future guest stays.

Everything was great except the food. It had no taste, seasoning or any of the Jamaican flavors. I had all inclusive but took a taxi to eat off of the resort.

I was always told that Jamaica was a fun place to be. If you are a white American, you will be ignored and be invisible to all staff at the pool, restaurants, everywhere. There was a fight at the pool while people were playing water polo. I felt unsafe at the pool and in my room. Not friendly people at the resort. On an excursion, we were stuck on the tour bus for 4 hours on the way back to our resort because of a crime scene. There was a shooting of a taxi driver in the middle of the street on the way back. We sat at the yellow tape for hours trying to get back. The shooter was on the run. And we were in the middle of it all. We were scared to death. And felt very unsafe.

Lots to do for my teenage kids to do. So much that they were wore out in 3 days on a 7 day stay.

Great property, but needs to get better at being more detailed.
