Best hotel bed I've ever slept in! Many people rate their sleep experience based on the mattress...these are excellent, but I can sleep on soft, firm, even lumpy ones. What made this bed so great, besides the crisp linens and down comforter, were the awesome feather pillows! If the pillow isn't comfortable then I don't get a good sleep. That's what made this hotel bed the best...the pillows! The only thing I would recommend the hotel changes is that they really need to put microwaves in the rooms. Not too pleasant having to get dressed to go down to the lobby to heat up your Midnight snack. Otherwise this is a wonderful place to stay.

Nice hotel near to everything

Posted 28-Dec-2016
Cons: Could use a few more drawers to put clothes away
The entire stay at this hotel could not have been better. We stayed there for 5 days and each one was great. The continental breakfast was beyond my wildest expectations, there was plenty to choose from. Everyone of the staff that I met was real friendly and was willing to help at any time.

Nice hotel, close to restaurants and groceries.

It was good not great but then it is a 3 star hotel. Staff was very professional and nice. It would be nice to have at least a bottle of water in the fridge to welcome guests.

Great Hotel, Centrally located

Posted 29-Nov-2016
Cons: A sink inside the bathroom area, instead of just outside the bathroom.
Location: Aquarium is right next door, there is Tanger outlet shopping very close by, and wineries within 15-30 min drive.
We've stayed at the Hyatt Riverhead numerous times, and each time we've had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very centrally located, rooms are SPACIOUS , which is a wonderful bonus, you do not feel cramped in these rooms. A night's stay comes with a full breakfast buffet, another bonus. Employees are very kind, sweet, and respectful, and informative about the area.

Not worth the money.

Room has noticeable deficiencies. Rings from drinks in the faux leather ottoman, coffee machine was broken, tissue box was empty, not what was expected of a Hyatt hotel!

Nice hotel on East End of LI

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: It was extremely close to where I had to be for work.
Cons: Padding around the entryway to the room so the walls wouldn't be so thin.
Needed a room for an overnight stay for business. The bed was too soft for my taste. The pillows were too soft as well. Early in the morning, I can hear other guests opening and closing the doors to their rooms. Very noisy hallways making it very difficult to sleep.

Great location, friendly staff, and clean!

Posted 14-Nov-2016
Pros: What I liked most about this hotel was that it was so very relaxing. No stress. Staff was easy to talk to and always available.
Cons: Can't say there was anything I didn't like.
Location: Aquarium next door as well as The Mermaid restaurant also next door had great food. Crooked Ale Brewery a short walk. Nice town with lots to do.
The lobby was bright with plenty of places to gather with friends. The staff was very helpful guiding us to places to visit locally. The room was neat, clean and stocked with lots of towels, extra blankets and the breakfast was good. The bed was very comfortable. The room was larger than we expected it to be.

Definitely 4/5 stars

Posted 21-Oct-2016
Pros: centrally-located; river views; tech-ready; clean, comfortable room; high-end finishes; fridge/coffee maker in room; free breakfast; 24-hr gym
Cons: had problems with 2 of 3 key-cards becoming de-magnetized and not working; parking was across the street, rather than adjacent to the hotel
Location: heart of quaint old Riverhead; next to aquarium; river-front walking/biking paths; many local shops, eateries; short drive to outlet shopping
we stayed just for one night to attend a funeral in town, so our minds were on other things. I chose the hotel for convenience/price, and we weren't prepared to enjoy the experience as much as we did. there's free wi-fi access throughout, no passwords required, free super-fast computers available for free in the lobby, and more device ports/hook-ups in the room than the 3 of us could use. The room was luxe, almost european, with high-end finishes. our staff interaction was limited to check-in.out, but we had no complaints. the free continental breakfast included eggs, sausages, pancakes, oatmeal, etc. I didn't try it, but our travelling companion said that the quality/taste of the food was first-rate. the hotel has a pool, and the aquarium is directly next door, both great features for families with small kids. the hotel's in the heart of the historic down-town Riverhead, and we passed a lot of cute local-owned shops and restaurants on our way in and leaving. I wish we'd had time to stop and see more. I highly recommend an off-menu burger at "Cliff's Rendezvous" bar/restaurant a block away.
