The staff are very friendly, the hotel is kept clean including the rooms, there was no dust anywhere and the walls were clean without any marks.
The hotel is in a very nice quiet cul-de-sac just minutes walk from The Ritz hotel, The Green Park, Piccadilly and Buckingham Palace.
The hotel in general, if you are young and you like a good atmosphere (something with a pulse) this is not the place, this hotel is for more older clientele, the old British “keep a stiff upper lip, my good friend “ type, and there is nothing wrong with that. In the 2 days I stayed not one guest spoke to us where it is completely different where we normally stop (Langham or The Mayfair) the floorboards in your room squeak so much, in the middle of the night and you want to visit the bathroom it’s like something out of mission impossible so you do not wake your partner up, no usb points in my bedroom so I had to buy a plug to charge my phone. And it states valet parking, but that person was on holiday 🤔🤔 so Andy who was at the front door took me to park elsewhere, I mean it was like Carry on Abroad where I felt Andy was on the front door, being a porter, arranging our table at the cocktail bar to everything else.😂😂 (thanks Andy).
Thanks to all the staff here, the hotel could do with a bit of refreshing with a few mod cons but still keep the old tradition things.
P.s the big chunky room keys with key ring we can now go to electric cards.
