"Good clean room with plenty of storage space and usual facilities ( tea making/ iron/ hair dryer); nice roomy en-suite and plentiful hot water. Maybe I’m a fussy health freak, but I didn’t enjoy the breakfasts—no fresh fruit, quality juice, or muesli ; the cooked options were unappealing and the bread poor. Pleased to say the spa treatments were excellent with good choices and facilities. The therapists were quietly pleasant and efficient. The staff generally were welcoming and helpful"

We could not have asked for more helpful or considerate staff, and the room was immaculate and spacious, and very comfortable. The food was excellent, and the location perfect. "A really impressive building - we’ve passed by before and always hoped to stay here. The building is quirky and has so much going for it… probably several £££ million to bring it up to 4* standards, but the staff were super friendly and the room we were assigned was brilliant and had lovely views over the port. Also accommodated for our dog which was really appreciated. The restaurant served a great dinner too and the Scottish breakfast gave us a cracking start on our onward journey. Thank you !"

"Arrived early but still got checked-in straight away which was a bonus. Nice clean well maintained room and bathroom. Reception staff always say hi whenever you are going in or out and they smile! Found all the staff to be very pleasant and welcoming, whether in the restaurant or breakfast etc.. Great choice for food options in the restaurant, you could eat in there for a week and never get the same thing twice. Breakfast is whatever you want including a cooked breakfast served at your table when you are ready. Our third visit to the Duck Bay Hotel in the last couple of years and it wont be our last. It is a bit top heavy on pricing, but in my opinion it's worth every penny."
