Wonderful greeting and welcoming from Darren and Karen. Perfect instructions, their local knowledge and enthusiasm and love for the area is limitless. The accommodation is superb, location is very central to some of the most historical and beautiful, silent areas. The choice of breakfast? ..I guarantee you wouldn’t get the choice of cereals, jam’s etc anywhere else.. (Karen puts other ‘full’ breakfasts to shame..). We will visit the west of Scotland again and unquestionably The Old Cottage will...

A lovely stay. Helen was warm and welcoming on my arrival. The room and en suite bathroom were exceptional and the addition of a small fridge with fresh milk and a bottle of water was a lovely touch. There were plenty of sockets and the and those on the bedside drawers also had usb ports which were extremely useful. The only adjustment I would have liked is that it would have been nice to have 4 pillows on the double bed rather than 2 pillows placed in the centre! Overall a lovely stay and...

The room was very clean, and a 5 star review for all the little extras/ little touches.
A little jar of oat milk in the fridge was appreciated for my teas/coffees and also being vegan there was biscuits I could eat. The bed was comfy, and the location is lovely - lovely views of the loch and great location for local hiking and the botanical gardens.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
The breakfasts were amazing - you choose your menu choices the night before so it’s cooked right on...
