"Really great place to stay. Worth noting that access is up a narrow single-track road for a few hundred metres. Cottage in great condition with nice facilities. Milk, butter and jam in the fridge and a loaf of bread was a nice touch. Thoroughly recommended. "

"I had to call the hotel to arrange a very late/early check in, outside normal hours and the staff was very accommodating. We had to wake them in the middle of the night but the hotel was able to get us into our room and some much needed sleep."

"Slightly tired property but the staff were delightful and could not do enough. Food was remarkably, drinks choice extensive and atmosphere in the bar and dining area wonderful. Would certainly book here again"

Excellent facilities for our family base, couldn't have asked for more in terms of quality of location, equipment and entertainment for all including games, media etc. We wanted a location we could use to explore the whole island and we found it worked perfectly.
Couldn't have been cleaner, great welcome pack to help you when you first get there, safe parking, great garden grounds to utilise, family friendly and ran by a great couple who are close by for any reassurances you may need.

Our host Jan was very welcoming and helpful. She gave great recommendations on places to visit around the town. The room was lovely and comfortable with everything we needed, plus teas, coffee, and a bottle of wine. We really enjoyed our stay at Victoria Guest House and would love to visit again!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious athough it was located at the back of the Inn across a beer barrel storage area. The Welsh Breakfast was excellent. The car park was very convenient, as was the situation of the Black Boy.

The Ring Pub & Hotel is set in a very quiet rural location. There is beautiful countryside surrounding it. There is a small caravan park to the rear of the pub. There is ample parking.
The pub itself is a character building which has been recently renovated. There is a nice bar area and a side area which I presume normally would be a restaurant and is where breakfast is served. This is all in a clean and modern style.
There are only 3 guest rooms as far as I can tell. This makes it a...

Great rural location, everything you need in your room has been thought of including fresh milk in a small fridge.
You order your breakfast the night before and breakfast times are very convenient

We (2 couples) stayed in Ty'n Rhos Country House for the Easter weekend and decided to also stay for dinner 2 out of 3 nights. We were amazed by the comfort, service, and quality. The location was great, an easy drive to the nearby castles, Snowdon railway, and other historical sites. We took the train from London to Bangor and hired a car there. Hotel staff went over and above to cater for all our needs (e.g. finding car rental, food allergies). Even though we weren't lucky with the weather...

The staff were very welcoming & friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
The room was clean, tidy & light. Plenty of tea, coffee, bottled water & biscuits, which were replenish daily.
It was ideal having the pub attached as we did not have far to travel for a meal & drink. The food was delicious, fresh & plenty to choose from.
The breakfast was amazing. Plenty of cereal, bread, yoghurts, tea & coffee. The booked breakfast was cooked to order & cooked fresh, it was delicious.

Great base for walking the Llanberis path up Snowden. The hosts were extremely welcoming, warm, and knowledgable about the local area. A selection of teas and coffee are available in the lounge area which felt much needed after the climb! Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend :)

The best area to stay in Llangristiolus is within the village itself, or in one of the nearby, slightly larger towns like Llangefni or Gaerwen for more amenities.
Llangristiolus is a small, rural village, offering a tranquil base for exploring Anglesey. It's surrounded by open countryside, providing a sense of peace and quiet. The village has a local pub and a parish church, and its central Anglesey location makes it a good starting point for day trips across the island. For those seeking a truly relaxing escape, a cottage or a guesthouse in Llangristiolus is ideal.
For families, staying in Llangefni, just a few miles east, offers more convenience. Llangefni is the county town of Anglesey and has a wider selection of shops, supermarkets, and eateries. It also has a leisure centre with a swimming pool, which can be a great option for keeping children entertained. Its central location on the A55 makes it easy to access attractions like the Anglesey Sea Zoo or Beaumaris Castle.
Couples looking for a blend of rural charm and accessibility might prefer Gaerwen, a village slightly closer to the A55. Gaerwen offers a few more dining options than Llangristiolus and benefits from excellent road links, making it simple to reach coastal walks or explore the Snowdonia National Park.
When is the best time to go to Llangristiolus?
The best time to visit Llangristiolus is during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.
May and June offer milder temperatures, longer daylight hours, and the Welsh countryside is in full bloom. This is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking or exploring the local area without the peak summer crowds. You'll find it easier to book accommodation and enjoy a more relaxed pace.
September and October provide a similar experience with comfortable temperatures, often clear skies, and the beautiful autumnal colours of the landscape. While the days are shorter than in summer, the lack of summer holidaymakers makes for a more serene visit, great for those seeking a tranquil escape.
