A bit in need of new carpets and curtain in room hanging off rail. In need of some attention. Breakfast a bit mediocre.

Great hotel not far from Liverpool Central!

Posted 17-Oct-2017
Pros: The staff, the cleanliness, the ability to accommodate 3 people in separate beds in the same room.
Cons: The time for breakfast is very short and ends very early - if this were extended to 10:30 or so, we would have been able to enjoy it at the hotel.
Location: About a 5/10 minute walk from Liverpool Central and several pubs, restaurants, and shopping in the area. Great location for students on a budget
For an extremely reasonable rate, my 2 friends and I were able to share a room and have separate beds for 2 nights in Liverpool. The room was really spacious and allowed for us to share the space very efficiently. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful at every interaction, and they were really helpful in recommending places for brunch after we missed breakfast (overslept). Beautiful hotel with a pretty decent location. A little bit of a hike to Central, but not bad.

Pros: The receptionist Lucy and the restaurant staff.
Cons: A lift for disabled guests. Another toaster for the restaurant. A working telephone in the rooms More staff
Location: Close to the city centre
I am disabled and have mobility issues and I use a walking aid. I was given a room up 3 flights of stairs with no lift. I struggled so much getting up and down the stairs to my room and it really ruined my stay. Reception staff tried to accommodate me with a ground floor room but they were all full. My toilet was blocked and wouldn’t flush properly which was very unpleasant. Fortunately it was fixed when I reported it. The telephone in my room did not work and I had to use my mobile phone to ring the hotel’s outside line in order to speak to the receptionist downstairs. The breakfast experience was a shambles. The restaurant was packed and there was a queue to be seated with only 3 staff to cover the whole restaurant. They did their best but they were clearly under staffed and over worked. The buffet food was lukewarm and there was another queue for the one toaster. By the time we’d waited in line for our toast, our food was cold. One the plus side, the receptionist Lucy was really nice and very helpful. Also my room was clean.

Great value for its comfort and locatiom

Posted 06-Sep-2017
Pros: Location, friendliness of staff, & cost. Also as I had a car the room was very handily placed on ground floor level close to the car park. Nice touch!
Cons: Really, not much! Personally I found making your own toast in the breakfast room an unusual feature rather than pre-prepared but some may prefer it!
Location: Some may find the incline leading up to where the hotel is located difficult. 5 mins walk to the very heart of the city, shops, bus and rail stations
I had stayed at this hotel when it was the Feathers/Best Western so knew it to be well placed and decent quality. Overall another good experience although the stay did not get off to a good start when I was supplied keys to an unserviced room. However this was very quickly and efficiently rectified and everything was sweet thereafter. Huge and comfy bed in the executive room and good quality buffet breakfast left a good feeling on departure. The added benefit of charged parking on site is peace of mind for those with a car. Would stay here again, for the money its well worth consideration..

Fab Hotel, close to city centre

Pros: Nice, clean room, with everything we needed, including iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. Fabulous staff.
Cons: Only thing that could be improved is there could be a lift, or maybe staff could offer to carry suitcases to the upper floors.
Location: 15 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street station, 2 minute walk from Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, 25 minute walk to Albert Dock.
Lovely hotel, easy to walk to from Liverpool Lime Street station. Extremely friendly staff, who came to our aid when the padlock on my suitcase was broken. Lovely buffet breakfast - really set us up for our days of sightseeing. Only criticism is that there isnt a lift to take you to the upper floors, climbing up 45 steps to the top floor after a long day out is hard work !!!

the location was perfect

Posted 26-Jul-2017
Pros: the room and staff
Cons: the service and the cleanliness in the restaurant.
Location: location great to shopping, University and restaurants
As I was coming from Barbados and graduating from the University of Liverpool. It was perfectly located. Also the site seeing tour bus passed right by the hotel and it meant that after having to take a taxi to collect online paid for tickets at the dock. I took the tour a second time and got off close by the Hallmark Inn. The same breakfast after 4 days, became too much especially not having fresh fruit, which would been my alternative. The restaurant staff was helpful and courteous. The front desk personnel were very professional, friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

first room - beds not made - second room so hot difficult to sleep - and unable to open window. Staff friendly, but only offered a fan.
