The hotel is in close proximity to Albert Docks and Liverpool centre, which is ideal. Also, the hotel also has a carpark for guests, which is a considerable saving considering the cost of parking in Liverpool!
The hotel rooms are slightly small, so be prepared for this! We had a twin room and struggled to house our small individual suitcases, but we made it works and it met our needs. It would be beneficial having at least a cupboard, but I really don’t know where they would be able to place one! Also, the bathroom was really small and right next to the bed. I compared it something to a bathroom in a ships cabin.
Final point, which gripped me the most, there was a distinct smell (cannabis) coming from one of the rooms, which was seeping into our room. This was really off putting and my teenager, not me, appreciated this. We promptly informed the reception, whom had already been informed about it, and they dealt with the issue; however, this was short-lived and it ended up appearing again the next day.
Excluding the smell issue, the stay was good and the beds were actually comfortable, and being so close to the venues we intended to visit enhanced our overall experience.
