"The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were lovely and was good value for money. The building is a bit tired and felt needed some updating. No complimentary tea of coffee in the room which we found disappointing. If they had tea and coffee I would stay there again. Small detail but would make a big difference to us. Coffee machine in foyer was out of order. Images on website shows modern decorated room but ours was a bit old fashioned and wood chip wallpaper. "

"The house was perfect for our family group celebrating my 60th birthday. It was exactly as described , spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Pool lovely and warm and kitchen very well equipped. "This classic French Chateau in a beautiful setting offers a small number of elegant rooms. Breakfast was fabulous. Our host Francois was really kind and considerate. A perfect stay just 30 mins from Cherbourg. Don't miss the opportunity to take dinner at nearby Le Bistro D'henry. Their cuisine is outstanding! "

"We had such wonderful stay here- there where 5of us and everyone had something that suited them. On arrival the host was extremely pleasant and whilst there was a language barrier we all managed to understand each other and she has leaflets to help. The ‘cottage’ itself was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a cosy rustic vibe that immediately had everyone starting to relax into the holiday. The space was well kept and clean. There was also a shared outdoor space which was great for my daughter as there were some other children there during our stay so she was able to play around with them in a safe space and there’s volleyball nets, trampolines etc plenty to entertain them. There was also a little boat that you could go on the pond with. The space at the front of the cottage had outdoor seating, sun loungers and a bbq. This was great for the evenings where we could sit at the bbq and chat with one another. The grounds are well maintained and lovely for a small walk in the mornings. Whilst it is out by itself (which aids in the peaceful quiet setting) you are not far from loads of different tourist attractions and grocery shopping by car. This place is perfect for anyone looking to get away from the rat race, reset and enjoy some peace. It is in a fab location where you can star gaze most evenings with a glass of wine. The pool is quite small if you had wanted to do lengths but it is a great size for a few people and or some small kids to keep an eye on them. 10/10"

"From start to finish the owner was amazing. Great communication and when we arrived check in was seamless. The house and grounds are nothing but amazing. The whole stay was relaxing and peaceful.Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and lounge.Breakfast and outdoor dining on the large patio was perfect with a BBQ area already setup. This is the best place we have stayed in France. Thank you again "

"The hotel is close to the town centre. There is no onsite parking and on street can be difficult. The hotel no longer has a restaurant but St Vaast has a number of good places to eat. breakfast in the hotel was very good The hotel itself is very traditional and well maintained. The garden area is particularly attractive"
