"Myself and my partner came to stay on 25th September. We wrote a special request in our booking to be allocated a room far away from the elevator in a quiet part of the corridor. I even phoned in the morning to double check and the morning reception staff assured me that it was sorted. Upon arrival, when we went to our room we discovered that it was directly in front of the elevator which is the complete opposite of what we had asked for. I was not happy but the staff who were on duty in the evening were extremely helpful and pleasant and did the best they could with the limited rooms that were available by that time."

"We were greeted by the new manager and his new kitchen manager on arrival, they’d only recently took over the establishment, however they clearly had been in the industry a long while. The rear car park was large and easy to park, the one around by reception was a bit tight for our large 4x4. Room, while old, was clean and fresh with a well stocked tea and coffee bar. The bathroom was good as you’d expect however the shower tray over flowed if you had the shower on full. Judging by the witness marks on the skirting this had been a regular issue. That said the shower was clean with plenty of hot water. The bar was busy and we were shown a table quickly, the waiting staff were attentive and friendly without being overly pushy. We asked how long they’d been there and one of them said it was their 1st night… Breakfast was freshly cooked with plenty of choices, with a well stocked cereal bar with self serve hot drinks and toast. It was a perfect venue for a spur of the moment pit stop on our journey home…"

"Needed a cheap overnight and this was perfect. Basic, clean comfortable family room for a great price. Bonus of having an Indian restaurant next door who delivered good food to our room."

"Fab for a budget hotel - great value with free parking and WiFi. Staff very friendly and helpful. Complimentary tea and coffee at reception but would have preferred kettle in the bedroom. Would definitely return"
