"Stayed here for three nights for our anniversary in a very nice feature room overlooking the gardens. Huge windows looked out over large, nicely kept grounds. Comfy bed and plenty of storage for clothes etc. The very plush carpet has seen better days where previous guests have spilled things and the stains still show. Large bathroom with bath and shower. "We had a good stay here. Hotel and surroundings are lovely. The room was nice, comfortable bed but awful soft pillows. Breakfast was superb, lots of choice, great fruit platter to choose from and fresh pastries. This was our second stay and would still go back."

"The first thing to mention is that this property is on 3 floors. There are 30 very steep, very narrow, stairs between the ground floor and the top bedroom. Although it does indeed sleep 6 people, having 3 double beds, the bed in the attic room is half under the eaves of the roof and you must bend double to get in and risk knocking yourself out to get there. None of the upstairs windows open. We tried every window on the upper 2 floors and were unable to budge one. The larger of the 2 bedrooms on...

"This is a very traditonal hotel in the best sense of that word. The rooms are spacious and we had one with a great view towards Robin Hoods Bay. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good."
