Excellent location in a nice neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants. Drugstore and cute clothing shops nearby. Great soft ice cream at Guru right around the corner. Clean, spacious room. Lovely staff.

A lovely welcome from both Alex and Ridina. They both were there whenever we needed help with anything. Lovely boutique hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Kyoto but still close enough to all major tourist hotspots. A special thankful to the bar lady, we never got her name. She was a real superstar.

Was very hesistant about the location when we first got there at night. Walked through narrow streets without space when cars around. Almost thought about finding somewhere else for remaining days. Much different experience after exploring the area in the daytime. Stopped at the bakery next door daily. Easy access to city buses. Slight walk to train station. Only 12 rooms overall. Room very spacious for Japan standards and also had a large soaking tub and shower area. Very kind and courteous staff. Good bar downstairs with friendly bartenders. Overall a great stay. Wished it was slightly closer to train station. But would still consider staying again. If you are ok with walking, which you should be if visiting Japan, this stay is in a great location to access most of Kyoto. FYI they request you leave your room key with staff every time you leave the building. Felt odd at first but felt comfortable with staff after the first day. They service all the rooms in the middle of the day.

This is a gem! The room was big and cosy with all the necessary amenities, staff is absolutely amazing (they go above and beyond), and the whole place is so welcoming! There are lots of bakeries, restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and it’s easy to walk around or grab the metro. It was a pleasure staying here and I would love to return.

Perfect Small Hotel in the City

Our stay was lovely. Located on a quiet street but close to everything, spacious rooms, great service, upscale design. The hotel was even able to have 2 bicycles delived to us at the hotel within 30 minutes.

Beautiful Boutique hotel perfectly located in Kyoto. Only 12 rooms in the hotel so you get personalized service the entire stay. Plenty of English speakers so communication was never a problem.

The room was spacious and beautiful with all the amenities you need. The staff was wonderful and made us feel so welcome. They received our luggage and brought it to our room and also booked a taxi for us on our last day. Very short walk to a train station and shops and restaurants.
