Building place. Rooms were very spacious. For a family of 4 it was perfect. We had 4 beds and 2 full washrooms. Plus it was in the downtown core which we loved. I would highly recommend this place. It was very clean and well maintained as well.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a very convenient part of the city. It was clean and safe which is a minimum for me. The room was nice and had a little more room than some we had on our trip. The staff was friendly. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the amenities and food looked very good.

The location of this hotel is excellent for a visit to Kyoto! We loved the closeness to transit (train, bus) and how walkable the area was. We were right near a huge covered shopping area and the river bank. There was a delicious bakery across the street for tasty western breakfast (just under the Park Canvas hotel). The bed was comfortable but there was no view and the temperature control was a bit strange (cool, then hot, then cool). The shower had phenomenal pressure and hot water, but was not spotless clean as I would expect. I think more frequent, thorough housekeeping is required here. The lobby was nice, offering sweets & coffee in the evening for free, as well as teas, candy, and some basic amenities. We didn't opt into breakfast since better options were available. The staff were super friendly, spoke English and helped us arrange our luggage transfer to Tokyo. They also held our luggage before check-in free of charge which was great. Overall, the location can't be beat and the hotel was modern, bright, and comfortable so I would recommend it highly! No regrets from our family of 4.
