The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Our stay was comfortable. Located about 20 minute walk from the Kyoto station (if you know how to find it - I strongly suggest you take the taxi the first time, it is about 800 Yen; after that you will know: between the second and the third street up from Gojo dori, fifth street on the left). The room was clean, well, service fantastic, and you have access to a small kitchen next to the reception desk. Getting attention of the owner is easy, just press the button on the intercom at the entrance; she lives next to this house. Nice coffee shops, Japanese and European style for breakfast (400 - 700 Yen) and convenience stores open seemingly all the time, including Sundays.
