"Staff were great, especially Yoko as she spoke English and was able to help with requests. One source of stress was having to pay in cash if you elect to pay at the accommodation. This should be made clear when booking. We would have happily paid by credit card in advance had it been made clear. No one from overseas carries that kind of cash. The ryokan should be encouraged to adjust their "rule" and take credit cards."

"Hotel is about 15 minutes from train station. Check in was straight forward. Price included kaiseki dinner in dining area which features sukiyaki, tempura, sashimi and assorted appetizers. Self serve rice and miso soup. Buffwt breakfast was also included and was very good. Hotel has a public bath. Free sodas, coffee and juice available all day. Tatami room was spacious and had 2 single beds which were firm but comfortable."

"The house itself is beautiful but all around it is extremely badly taking care of. The yard is a mess, the grass high, and just next to some run down green houses. "Everything else was excellent except its bathroom, rather small and its floor is slanted for water flow. The room came with the great view of mountains of Komagatake. Within walking distance to various attractions including famous Kozenji temple. The only reason I gave the rating of 4 is because of its bathroom."
