Kinnordy, Kirriemuir
The Airlie Monument was built in 1901 to commemorate David Ogilve, the 9th Earl of Airlie, who died at the Battle of Diamond Hill in South Africa. Its located between Glen Prosen and Glen Clova in Kirriemuir. The walk starts through the forest and then opens up onto moorland which you can walk further for. Great walk, kind of steep at points but amazing for our dogs. If you can, go back to the start where you will of passed a stone memorial called 'Scott-Wilson memorial'. It's definitely worth a visit!
This is Jock's Road, looking back towards Glen Clova carpark. At the top of this hill there is a small shelter/hut with a red door. You can hike the Tomount and Tom Buidhe Munros from here
