"Excellent stay at the Windermere suite. The room was spotless and really nice. Ray & Wong were excellent hosts and helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and delivered to your room and even accommodating for my wife who is gluten intolerant. Loads of parking on site and really close to the centre and Bowness."

We had a great stay at the Copper Kettle, lovely warm, cosy and clean room with very comfy bed. Pamela was a lovely, friendly host and nothing was too much trouble. Our evening meal and breakfast were superb. Free on site parking in the centre of town is a bonus.

Our visit to Homestead was outstanding in every way. From arrival to departure, we could not have had better service and attention. The house is unique and full of history and has been loving restored to the highest of standards.
Could not recommend it more!!

I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. No noisy dining room nor rush to have table cleared away. All was at our pace which was what we wanted. A peaceful haven in a beautiful setting with the most friendly and helpful staff made this break first class. We...

Stayed over Easter weekend. Arrived Friday night and was greeted by one of the owners, Bonnie.
We have a double room, well sized with lots of storage. Bed was soft and good for a few nights with been uncomfortable. Ensuite was good as well and the showers hot. All rooms look to come with a TV (limited to ITV and C4 channels only) and welcome book with the WiFi information (good for streaming)
Breakfast has to be preordered by 7pm he day before, good range of hot food on selection...

I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles!
I eventually arrived at a building signposted as the ‘equestrian centre’ so I drove a bit further and ended up driving around some lane in a woods (surrounded by curious deer and badgers!). I rang the owner again and...

We stayed in this lovely guest house for two nights as we were attending a family funeral. We arrived at about 3pm on the first day and were greeted by a lovely lady who explained where everything was and showed us to our room. We had a king room which was absolutely huge, with a massive, very comfortable bed, a large and comfy sofa, a large bathroom with an excellent shower and a really big TV on a rotating wall bracket (to make it watchable from anywhere in the room). We also had a small...

When is the best time to book a B&B in Kirkby Lonsdale?
April is one of the most popular times to book a B&B in Kirkby Lonsdale, as the spring season brings vibrant blooms and mild temperatures. This charming market town, nestled between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, offers a wonderful setting for outdoor activities and sightseeing. During this period, visitors can enjoy pleasant weather, averaging around 12-15 degrees Celsius, ideal for leisurely strolls along the River Lune or exploring the historic cobbled streets.
The peak tourist season typically runs from July to September, when families flock to the area for summer holidays. This is an excellent time for those seeking adventure, as the warmer weather allows for hiking, cycling, and exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes. However, the summer months can be busier, which may impact the availability of accommodations and the overall tranquillity of your experience.
For those looking to stretch their budget further, consider visiting in November. This month offers a more peaceful atmosphere, allowing you to savour the beauty of autumn as the foliage transitions into rich hues. It’s a lovely time for cosy walks and enjoying local cafes without the hustle and bustle of peak season.
