Playing board games by the fireplace in the evenings was a lovely touch. It’s only a ten minute drive into Oban, burger e high away that it’s peaceful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. "The location was great. We felt like royals staying in a castle. We were treated like royals as well. The dining experience was great. Breakfast was delicious as we ate at sunrise over the loch. The Christmas decorations were very special. Overall would recommend over and over"

"Had another really lovely stay at the George. Room was beautiful, clean, had a wood burning fire, view of the loch, and very friendly staff. Had breakfast, lunches and dinners during my stay and they were all wonderful and accommodating to a food allergy. Grateful for the charming George Hotel and its friendly staff! "

"This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem."

"Hands down my favorite hotel during my trip. On the day of my check-in, I made dinner reservations and unfortunately I ran into car trouble so I was going to miss dinner hours by 20 minutes. Immediately when I got to check in, they offered to make me a plate even though the kitchen was closed. 10/10 hotel! I’ll be visiting again"

"We had a lovely room with a large bathtub. The bed was very comfortable. The town lost power but we still had hot water which was awesome as it allowed us to have hot showers in the morning. They also made arrangements for a complimentary hot breakfast our second morning when the power was back on. Holly was excellent and enabled us to check in even without the power. She was there to assist us right away. Heather was our server and was wonderful as well when we had breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. The only note that I would make is that the stairs to the room were narrow but more then manageable as long as you don’t have over large luggage."
