"The location is okay, however the hotel is old and in very bad condition. The room they gave me at first had a huge window in the bathroom and no shades, also the curtain shower did not close properly and there was a ball of hair in the corner of the bathroom floor: nasty, horrible, disgusting, unacceptable. I complained and they gave me another room which was better but still bad. Breakfast was poor. I do not recommend this hotel. "

"Cozy rooms, atmospheric decor, friendly staff, and a convenient location just around the corner from Oban Distillery. The on-site beer (and whisky) garden is a great amenity, and bar staff are very knowledgeable about what they’re pouring. "

"Our stay at the hotel was very nice, room was comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant. we did make a comment re our evening meal but hear no more about it (lasagne was dry) i have attempted to make contact with the hotel by phone since our stay on the 14th February but no one seems to pick up phone calls. my query is regarding the addition of VAT added to our bill food and drinks. i did not see any evidence of VAT included or to be added to our bill. my hotel receipt shows at the foot of the bill that "this is not a VAT invoice but your VAT number is included in your footer. is this an error on your part or have i missed this. Reference 2380113436"

"Lovely room, spacious and bright. Comfy bed. (Extra pillows would have been nice as they were quite soft) Liked the host-less aspect. Some areas could do with extra cleaning (shower head, ledges of windows, some communal carpets) but generally great value for money. The fridge was great, does need checked as there was milk a week out of date and a microwave would have been really useful. Loved the sitting room area was so bright and comfy. Would also say the little toiletries, while a nice touch they are not needed. A hand soap would be much more useful in the room. Would stay here again! "
