I had a lovely experience staying at the Luib Hotel, Nelly and James were fab hosts also down to earth no nonsense folk. Home cooked food was delicious, I had evening meals and Breakfasts. The hotel is on a busy main road however this didn't spoil my stay. My room which looked on to the road was well soundproofed , I had a wee well earned nap in the afternoon without being disturbed. An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer.
