Would highly recommend staying at the Gonalston Boutique. Not only was the room beautiful and clean, and the breakfast delicious, but the owner was the most wonderful host. She made us feel very welcome and was lovely to chat with. My only disappointment is with myself, that I did not discover this excellent place sooner! We will definitely be back.
If you are considering booking, you’ll be more than happy with everything.
Thanks again.

This is our fourth time staying here. Whenever we are visiting relatives in the area we always try and book here. It is such a lovely location and the rooms are beautifully furnished and the facilities are spot on.

We had a brilliant stay at Brampton Dales Farm B&B, a working farm on the outskirts of the village of Upton. After a warm welcome from the owners and their many animal friends, we settled into a cosy, detached outbuilding of our own. We were given good advice on restaurants and local points of interest. Breakfast was plentiful and Hugh's homemade bread was magnificent! Thank you for a memorable break!

Stayed for three nights while visiting relatives in Lincoln. Surprised! Excited! Thrilled with the size of bed, the space to move, the bathroom facilities, the wholeness it created for a traveller on the move.

What a gem Creston Villa is! Thanks to Anna and Iain who made our stay a real home from home. From the breakfast with lots of choice, including so many jams, marmalades and relishes to homemade cookies to take with us for a later treat. We loved everything and we didn’t need to know anything about Lincoln before our trip, we could’ve learned it all at breakfast! Great location, easy walk into town or use the local bus service from just outside the property. Highly recommend. Thank you x

I had planned to stay in Lincoln city centre (visiting daughter at uni) but found Woodcocks on the hotels.com website and liked the look of it, and the price. It didn't disappoint - lovely room, great setting in rural surroundings but 10 minutes into town, easy access and parking, warm welcome and service and a bar with darts/pool etc to round off the evening. We will definitely be back.

The best area to stay in Kersall is its historic village centre, particularly around St. Paul's Church and Kersall Moor.
This area is the heart of Kersall, offering a blend of traditional English village life with convenient access to local amenities. You'll find a selection of independent shops, traditional pubs, and eateries clustered along Kersall Lane and Moor Road. The village green, often host to local events, provides a pleasant focal point.
For couples looking for a relaxed and appealing retreat, the village centre is ideal. You can enjoy strolls across Kersall Moor, a large open green space superb for walking, or explore the local craft shops and enjoy a quiet meal in one of the traditional pubs. The area's character and calm pace make it superb for a romantic getaway.
Families will also find the village centre appealing due to its access to green spaces and community feel. Kersall Moor offers plenty of room for children to play, and the local parks are well-maintained.
When is the best time to go to Kersall?
The best time to go to Kersall is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September and October) months. These periods generally offer pleasant weather for exploring and fewer crowds than the peak summer season.
Spring in Kersall brings milder temperatures and the countryside comes alive with blooming flowers and lush greenery, making it ideal for walks and outdoor activities. You'll find the local footpaths and nature reserves particularly inviting.
Autumn provides cooler, crisp weather and the beautiful colours of the changing leaves. This is a great time for enjoying the local pubs and restaurants, as well as visiting any indoor attractions without feeling rushed. The harvest season often brings local food festivals and markets, which can be a delightful experience.
While summer (July and August) can be lovely with its warmest temperatures, it's also the busiest time, which means more people at popular sites and potentially higher prices for accommodation.
