"Window in room broken with a hole in the pane of glass. Shower poor. Wallpaper falling off. Reported tv not working. Staff just shrugged and said nothing they could do. Shower looks like it’s recently been leaking and not repaired properly. Paint all over the carpets. Food was mediocre. Bar person was friendly and good at her job."

"Fantastic cosy room. Lovely shower , comfy bed. The check in is via phone and a key safe .
The room was well stocked and very clean. Main problem is the doors to rooms don’t have quiet closing so when the ignorant other guests go in and out there is constant slamming of doors.
We stayed in the room with exposed beams and it was very well thought out . Good for walking holiday due to location."

"Everything was great - except for check out. Had to ask a second time to not be charged for breakfast morning of departure and cab ordered didn’t show / staff had to be pushed to help me.
After a really nice stay the exit experience fell far short of expectations."
"Nice stay, clean room, friendly staff, good, large gym.
I thought it’s a bit mean to charge £6 for car park- it’s already 3 miles out of Oxford near the ring road! But easy way to increase turnover!"
"Really beautiful setting and well proportioned rooms. Staff were all very friendly and helpful (my dad who was also staying left his phone in the restaurant and just as I was heading downstairs to find it for him someone was at our door to hand it over!)
Air con is a little dated and not very effective, but everything else was really excellent."
"Good spa, nice breakfast with a decent selection. The hotel has easy parking and check in was good. They weren’t able to manage a 30 minute extension on the room which was disappointing. The food and service in the bar was excellent."
"Great place to stay for golf. Well maintained and interesting course and comfortable accomodation. Nice bar and good food.
The only downside is no air-conditioning in the rooms or the bar which in the current heatwave is not great."
