"A very nice pub with good beers and very nice food. The rooms, which are located away from the pub itself in what seems to be a converted stable block, are excellent: very clean with a comfortable super-king-size bed. The room we had was a good size and very quiet as it didn't even share a wall with another room. In fact there seems to be an en-suite bathroom between each room, which makes for excellent privacy. The breakfast was particularly good as all the ingredients were locally sourced, and everything was made in their own kitchen, from the bread to the baked beans and even the brown sauce! It's a bit off the beaten track but well worth the detour from the M4 or M3 if you need an overnight stay. We will definitely be back!"
