"A short walk from Essen train station, the hotel is reasonable for the price. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, with good heating and air-conditioning unit, a kettle with tea and coffee, a complimentary bottle of water. "The hotel felt fresh and new throughout. The rooms are well equipped with a fridge, safe and plenty of storage space. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom was also new and fitted to a high standard. The reception and bar area were both clean and spacious with a small shop with snacks to buy. The breakfast was a self-service arrangement with a good choice of healthy options. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again if I was visiting Essen. "
