Everything was very good . Check -in and check-out was very easy . They housekeepimg was very good . But I would like to suggest that they should change the pillows and blanket . Even though it was clean but they look like it has been used for too long time and there are some permanent stains on the covers . And pillows became so hard .

I really liked this place, despite some eccentricities. Estrella del Norte is run by a few generations of a Canarian family, and feels like a family-run establishment. The building is somewhat dated, but boasts fantastic views both ways, of the sea and nearby Teide volcano. They keep it spotlessly clean, and are very welcoming. I stayed in what they called the Honeymoon Suite, top floor. My room had balconies on both sides. One of the eccentricities was a hot tub in the room that also served as the kitchen and living room. This isn't a criticism; just an observation. I was ill for the first part of my stay, and extended my stay twice. The owners were very accommodating of me, and they earned my gratitude. They also provided, free of charge, a litterbox for my cat, who travels everywhere with me. The hotel is on a block that serves as a de facto resort compound. It's a little bit uphill from the central area of Icod, but is self-contained. The reception has a small shop with necessities like snacks and soft drinks and booze. Just around the corner, on the same block, there is a full-service restaurant (Los Faroles). I'm not sure if it's affiliated with the hotel, but I ate a lot of my meals there. They serve massive portions of Canarian food at excellent prices, and are one of the few places open on holidays. I would definitely stay here again.

The appartment was spacious and suited our visit. It was plenty of space for three people, staff was very nice and helpful. It had almost all necessary kitchen accessories (except cutting board) very nice view trough the balcony. The only minus was that there was no heating and the room felt cold inthe mornings and evenings.

Overall, it is a great place to stay if you want to be closer to real Tenerife.. A car is essential as walking to amenities is rather difficult due to how steep the area is. Me and my partner really liked the location- we still remember those morning coffees with amazing views into the ocean. The apartment itself was quite spacious and it had all we needed. The only negative was the bed- very squeaky at every move - the bed screws need a little grease and that should solve the problem. Wi-Fi was good in the living room and on the balcony, but not great in the bedroom itself.. The staff very friendly.. There’s is a restaurant on site that serves food and drinks at very reasonable prices..

Ett väldigt fint och rent boende med havsutsikt åt ena hållet och utsikt över Teide åt andra hållet. Men väldigt kallt i rummen och på golvet. Dubbelsängen var två olika höga sängar som hade ställts ihop. Vi hade stora problem med att få igång gasspisen eftersom det inte fanns nåt att tända den med.

Helt ok boende

Jag hyrde en bil vilket för mig är ett måste på detta boende. Helt ok standard. Trevlig personal i restaurangen. Inga aktiviteter för barn vilket stod i annonsen? och bubbelpoolen va inte igång. Va svårt att få tag på receptionen när jag skulle fråga ifall dom kunde sätta igång den. Hade andra aktiviteter för mig så va inte jätte viktigt. Men skulle säkert gå bra att få igång den ifall jag Ansträngt mig mer för att få tag på receptionisten. Mitt resmål va att hänga med barnen och gå på utflykter. Skulle inte passa för att bara hänga vid runt lägenheten en vecka.

Très bon rapport qualité prix

Ile magnifique, paysages spectaculaires, mais des routes très sinueuses et c'est parfois difficile de circuler de nuit, surtout quand le GOS vous fait passer par des raccourcis improbables. L'hôtel est agréable et la patronne qui parle bien le français est très sympathique.

Old time charm outside the tourist areas

We were warmly welcomed and we were even able to choose the apartment. The owner was really nice all the time, but sadly there were just too many things not going right: We had Internet access only for the first night of our two weeks stay and the cleaning services were not as promised. The apartment itself was spacious, but for example the kitchen cabinets smelled quite musty and there were definitely not enough sockets.

The septic was backed up and the room stank to the point of nausea. Had to cancel and book elsewhere. Also you can't flush toilet paper so all your wipes had to be put in be the bin next to the toilet. The hotel kitchen was an unbelievable disaster. The owner left her 11 year old daughter who doesn't speak a lick of English at the front desk so check in was difficult to say the least.

At first we came to the place and the lady at reception didnt find our reservation. Then she told as that all the rooms are booked, so insted, she gave as the suite at the same price. The room was great, clean, small but comfortable, with great view!

Noone in the reception took us about 10 min to find a person who could check us in. Got the wrong room to start with two single beds pushed together instead of king bed. The second room got broken shower handle, black mould in the fridge and and the balcony rail very badly installed- you could use it as a swing instead. No internet connection in a room just on the balcony and very poor. Left after a few hours as soon as secured another hotel. Very disappointed how the owner responded to our complaint.
