"We had a lovely stay. The room was nice and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable.
A couple of areas in the room were a little disheveled (i.e., slight crack in the wall, broken photo frame, bathroom could use a re-grout) but this did not take away from our stay. The floor we were on was easily accessible and was nice and quiet.
The hotel's pool and
spa facilities were great and a lovely addition for our second day there.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful."

"Lovely old-fashioned unique hotel. Lots of choice for food, and the
spa is fab - £12 access per room is great, and the facilities were clean and updated. The gym/health club was a huge plus and made the stay even better. I would say the Bistro could do with some redecorating - the food was good and very reasonable, but the ambience/decor was a little plain for a dinner location! Aside from that, the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy, and the staff were all really friendly. Such a nice...

"Lovely hotel with lots of parking. I had a great
spa treatment. The staff were helpful and approachable. The room was a good size with plenty of towels and toiletries. The room it was a little too warm for me during the night though.
The only downside was a few noisy people at breakfast who need to learn to moderate their voices and the smallest serving of scrambled eggs with salmon I have ever had in a hotel or restaurant! "

"This was my second stay at this hotel. I came back because I really liked it the first time, although it has changed hands since then.
On arrival, our rooms were ready. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Our baggage was safely left in the luggage room on the day of our departure, which made it so much easier on our last day. It was even brought to our table when we decided on a last-minute drink in the bar before heading to the station.
If I had any gripe at all, it was in-room information. But this seems to be the same in most hotels these days. I miss having a menu, opening times, local sights etc in a booklet or folder.
So convenient for the train station. Be aware that there is a door right next to the station. The first time I went, I walked all the way around the building to the front entrance!
Would definitely stay here again."
