Staff were lovely. Had a long drive and arrived on the cutoff for ordering dinner, but thankfully the staff were kind enough to still let us order. We had both dinner and breakfast, both were absolutely delicious. There was some games we could borrow which we enjoyed playing in the bar, only small disadvantage is the bar closed at 10:30. Room was very clean, stocked with tea and coffee and the extra pillows in the wardrobe was a nice addition. Overall, we had a very peaceful, relaxing stay.

This is a good base for touring the area. Highclere Castle is a minutes drive away, but closed in winter. You can walk a public footpath in the grounds to Kingsclere.
The food is excellent and good value, served by helpful friendly staff.
The rooms were spotless and very comfortable.

A very comfortable last minute stay in this lovely pub. The rooms are very cosy and comfortable, the service outstanding and the food just delicious. The only thing I'd change is the plug and bright green fire escape lighting that illuminates the room too much for a good night's sleep. Overall a very lovely stay.

Excellent ! We will be back… we were stuck in traffic so ringing ahead, we were able to order food and they kept it warm. My partner, tired from a week in hell at work knocked her wine over..another appeared as if by magic. I had to make an important call … they, without being asked turned music down.wow. The staff are amazing, as are the rooms, bed, bathroom and food..we will be back ! Many thanks guys.

Excellent hotel. The room was large with an incredibly comfy bed and good powerful shower. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast really good. We ate in the restaurant both nights. A special thank you to Ben our waiter. We would highly recommend Bel and the Dragon.

The Dundas Arms is a warm welcoming hotel in an interesting setting between canal and river on the edge of a lovely village. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant was busy with good service and a good menu of delicious food. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. It was our diamond wedding celebration and we were well looked after and given complimentary bubbly to celebrate. We had a most enjoyable 3 days and consider Dundas an ideal country venue and...

The Hotel was located amongst beautiful grounds. It was a combination of old and new build and very clean in all public spaces. Staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgable about the local area. Our room was very spacious and well equipped with fabulous views down to the river and was spotlessly clean too (except for what appeared to be a blood stained bath towel!) Breakfast was most enjoyable and there was plenty of delicious food and drink to choose from.

A little off the beaten track but this hotel is of exceptional quality and it a bargain for the price we paid. VERY quiet and comfortable. Superb breakfast too.
We'll definitely return!

The owner has only been there a short time so some rooms are still to be upgraded. However, mine was excellent with everything I needed. Staff are exceptionally helpful and the food is amazing with a large, varied gluten free menu and nothing too much trouble. Parking is easy. Highly recommended

We had a lovely two day stay. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was good and the room was serviced each day. Tea and coffee was available in the room and milk provided on asking. Excellent breakfast too.
