"Amazing hotel with great spa facilities, friendly and attentive staff. The room was spacious enough for two adults and two children plus one dog. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant as we were on a dinner but in breakfast wait the staff again were great with brilliant gluten-free options on the menu."

"Lovely greeting on arrival. Parking on the doorstep which is a bonus being in the centre of Kendal. Check in was simple having already completed the online form. Facilities available were explained to us and we headed up to our room. We were a little cross with ourselves for not bringing our swimming costumes!! Room was spotless and lovely and warm. Bathroom was also clean. Love the fact that in the bathroom they have a note saying if you’ve forgotten toothpaste/brish/razors etc they have them at reception, simple but brilliant should you need. We had a great view of the river from our room, we couldn’t have asked for more. We didn’t eat or drink here but the bistro looked beautiful and inviting. Whilst the rooms aren’t super modern, they are comfy, clean and the staff are brilliant. We will choose to book here again when we head up to Kendal. In a perfect location for walking into town to explore the area. Many thanks "
