"This was my worst stay at a chain hotel in 15 years. On arrival the car park was unavailable due to a lorry blocking the entrance, and it was there for 30 minutes. My room was dated, too hot, and there was a huge loud vent below the window. On check out I asked for a vat receipt and was told it would be emailed to Expedia, that's not legal, if you charge Vat you must provide a receipt at point of sale. Reception went to see her supervisor and came back saying she could not help, at which point I flagged it was illegal, and she went back to the supervisor again, who came out, and I got a receipt in 15 seconds. My impression from this was the supervisor was either not interested or too lazy to actually do her job. Hotel is in a historic building and facilities suffer as a result, ergonomics in particular are a let down"
