"Absolutely the best hotel for the money in which I’ve stayed anywhere - front desk staff professional and courteous and the room was a delight - saw Darius an old friend from previous visits Can’t wait to come back!"

"Very comfortable, spacious room. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Good breakfast. Great location, looking over the canal and a short walk into the centre of Chester. I would definitely stay again."

"Nice hotel in a brilliant location in the very pretty Chester centre. If you fancy a nice meal out there are loads of choices in the town, plus plenty to walk around and enjoy. In addition you're next to the roman amphitheater and the grosvenor park which is lovely for a walk or a short jog. Parking is in the multi storey car park on pepper street and is 1/2 price if you tell the hotel, but the spaces are very small (not ideal if you have a big SUV). There are other car parks available. "

"Reception staff helpful and kind. Restaurant provided excellent breakfast and evening meals. The gym was small but well laid out with everything I needed. The room was good but lacked a normal table or desk and instead had a weird lounge sofa (totally unnecessary). There was nowhere to eat or use a laptop in the room. I also wish I could've opened a window in my room. The AC was impossible to work out and I much prefer fresh air. The shower was excellent."

"Our hotel (The Chester Grosvenor) was stunning and perfectly situated with a grandeur interior that oozes bundles of original features! The staff were welcoming and pleasant and nothing was too much for them. We were treated on arrival to an upgraded room, staying in a junior suite which was perfect in all areas. The City was beautiful with lots to see and do from walking the City wall to walks along the river and gardens with lots of historical points of interest to stop and absorb throughout the City. The shops were quaint and inkeeping with a good variety of choice. The City was clean and well kept and a testament to the people that maintain it. Overall we had a fantastic stay in a fantastic hotel with a beautiful City surrounding it. "

"Lovely place. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the parking wasn't very clear so we got caught out by the carpark down the road! Would be helpful if there was a sign on the corner of the street."
