The Hannover Congress Centrum
The Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) is a conference and event centre consisting of a number of large halls and over 30 conference rooms, grouped around the handsome dome of the Kuppelsaal. Building of the Kuppelsaal finished in 1914, and between 1947 and 1962 it was home to Hannover’s state parliament. Recently it has undergone a major renovation. With Kuppelsaal and the other major halls of the Eilenriedehalle, the Niedersachsenhalle and the Beethovensaal, the HCC can host 13,000 visitors in two acres of exhibition space.
Hannover Congress Centrum Event Spaces
With over an acre of floor space, the Eilenriedehalle is the largest hall in the Hannover Congress Centrum. As well as holding regular trade fairs and conventions, it has also welcomed some big-name names over the years. Think ABBA, Bon Jovi and Meat Loaf. The Kuppelsaal is now one of the finest musical auditoriums in Germany, accommodating 3,600 guests as a theatre, and 1,300 guests as a banquet hall.
Hannover Congress Centrum’s Restaurants and Hotel
There are two on-site restaurants, with a full range of culinary pleasures from salad-bar snacks to fine multi-course dining, and the integral Congress Hotel am Stadtpark has comfortable hotel rooms, penthouse suites and a sauna and pool.
Where is Hannover Congress Centrum
The Hannover Congress Centrum is in east-central Hannover, between the pleasant green spaces of the Stadtpark and Hannover Zoo. Head to the Stadtpark to wander through the fountain garden, a rose garden with some 140 varieties, and a Japanese garden with a tea house which highlights the twinning of Hannover with Hiroshima. Hannover Zoo is an immersive delight, divided into themed zones such as Gorilla Mountain, Yukon Bay and Jungle Palace, which mean you can interact with each environment and get up close and personal to its inhabitants.
